We are currently planning a trip to Jamaica’s City of Refuge ministry.
In June of 2012, FCC is planing a mission trip to Jamaica to Visit the City of Refuge. This is a 2 fold mission trip. First we want to offer our Talents and Treasures to the children. And Second, our goal is to provide 2000 shoes to the children of Jamaica!
The Mission: 2000 Shoes, 1000+ Lives Changed. We need support to put 2000 shoes on feet in developing countries. It sprung from a small seed, and we hope it can grow into a mighty oak tree. Help us to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ!
This plan is just starting. We need your help. Please if you know anyone that could help us or a organization that would partner with us that would be more than amazing. You can contact us at charlotte@2000shoes.org. You can also follow us on facebook!
In recent years:
The youth group has attended the Summer of Service at Vineyard Community Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. Here students learn the fundamentals of sharing Christ’s love and experience incredible worship and solid biblical teaching on what it means to follow Christ in the world today.
We have also taken groups of high school students to Belize to work with kids and do a construction project on the island of Caye Caulker with missionary George Ferrar.
- The 2005 trip to Belize was primarily an adult trip focused on erecting an auxiliary building for missionary George Ferrar’s Caye Caulker High School.
- In 2008, a roof was added to the auxiliary building, and students continued to witness to kids on the island – a great experience for all!
