…The Unforgettable Student Ministry
We want students to know that they have not been forgotten, by God or by us. We believe that God has shown His love for them in an unforgettable way through the life, death, and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ. We also believe that students can leave an unforgettable impact on their families, schools, friends, and world for God if they will only listen to Him and follow His plan for their lives.
During the School year, we meet Wednesday nights, 5:30-7:30 PM in the Youth Center. Eat, Connect, Celebrate, Compete, Learn, Relate, Worship! Great leaders, Great times! Bring your friends. The Youth Center, located in the lower level, is open before & after Youth Group so you can play Ping Pong, Pool, Foosball or just hang out.
Summertime = fun time! We change up our schedule & meet all around town from
6-9 pm. Friends can stay connected during the summer at picnics, pool parties, a Beach Bums game and our annual trip out to This ‘n That Farm.
Our Mission
We exist to help students know the unforgettable grace of God and leave an unforgettable impact on the world by …
- SHARING with them the love of Christ
- CONNECTING them with other Christians
- Helping them GROW in their faith in Christ
- Challenging them to DISCOVER AND USE their gifts in ministry
and to HONOR GOD with their whole lives
Our Values
- Students are loved and valued by God.
- Relationships are the primary way we communicate Truth and love to students
- The Bible is the inspired Word of God. We do not change the Bible to fit us. We change ourselves as we encounter the life-changing message of the Bible.
- The family is the primary spiritual influence in the lives of their children. We are a family-friendly ministry that encourages parents as well as students, and provides many opportunities for students and parents to interact. Parents are always welcome in the youth center and are encouraged to take an active role in their teens’ spiritual development by keeping the lines of communication between themselves, their teens, and the youth staff, and by considering attending activities, retreats, and trips as leaders
- Sharing the love of Jesus Christ with students is a process.
- Prayer is the driving force behind our ministry. We encourage all of our leaders to live lives of prayer.
- We strive for excellence in ministry. Excellence is defined as a person doing his or her personal best.
- Teamwork is what makes our ministry successful, not individual effort.
- We creatively and thoughtfully make the Gospel relevant to students. We must keep our ministry fun, purpose-driven, and Christ-centered.
- We believe that the students themselves are the best ones to reach their friends for Christ. We equip them to do so.

2011 Summer Of Service!
On Monday, June 20th, 24 youth and 4 brave leaders drove off into the sunrise for a week of serving in Cincinnati through Vineyard Community Church’s SOS. FCC youth dove into the theme of FAME, and spent the week hearing about, seeing, experiencing, and sharing Jesus’ famous love and sacrifice. Our teens worshiped at morning and evening Celebrations, and rotated through a new outreach activity each day. We passed out free water, washed cars, prayed with complete strangers, and ministered to at-risk children all in the name of God’s love. At the end of the week, five youth joyfully entered the Vineyard baptismal and committed their futures to Christ – don’t worry, Moms and Dads got to watch over a live online feed! Our youth were absolutely fantastic throughout the trip, and received some great compliments from host homes, leaders, and Vineyard Staff. Next time you see them, ask them about their God stories – some are truly amazing!

Cherry Festival Water Giveaway
Students & leaders passed out over 600 bottles of chilled water Downtown Traverse City during this year’s Cherry Festival. The bottles carried this message- Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. “ John 4:13″ NIV
