Community Children’s Center provides experiences and an environment that foster the wholesome development of each individual child. This goal is fulfilled through a carefully planned program using The Creative Curriculum, a healthy climate, and age appropriate equipment and activities run by a professional staff.
Community Children’s Center strives to always provide a secure, loving, and safe environment in which to grow and learn. We celebrate the abilities and characteristics that make each child and family unique. Close rapport between parents and teachers allows children to develop to their potential, and to support their social-emotional, physical, cognitive, spiritual, and language development.
Community Children’s Center is a ministry of First Congregational Church and an outreach to the community. Our mission is to grow God’s kingdom through excellence in Child Care and Preschool.
“Blessed are the children who walk in the Lord. Blessing and joy shall be theirs. Theirs is the bounty, the fruit of the vine. Theirs is the joy of God’s care.” Psalm 128

“Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” - Mark 10: 13-16
After operating for over 30 years as Community Nursery School, an accredited preschool program, we expanded the program in 1998 to include additional hours of child care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, as well as continuing the reputable preschool education program. At that time, the name was changed to Community Children’s Center.
